The girls track & field team delivered an outstanding performance at the Tom Lantz Invitational on May 1, highlighted by multiple podium finishes and two record-breaking performances from Paige Pachinger.
Pachinger stole the show in the sprints, capturing 1st place in both the 100m (12.65) and the 200m (26.09) while setting new ODCS records and meet records in each event. Coco Hunger finished in 9th place in the 100m with a 14.62. Claire Hepner added another podium performance in the distance events, placing 2nd in the 800m (2:34.79), while Abby Hopkins secured a top-10 finish in the same race with a 9th-place time of 3:11.43.
Alayna Boone turned in a strong distance double, finishing 4th in the 1600m (6:15.79) and 5th in the 3200m (13:26.42). Kadence Miller added a 9th-place finish in the 300 hurdles (1:02.79), and the 4x400 relay team of Pachinger, Hunger, Miller, and Hepner earned a strong 3rd-place finish (4:44.56). In the field events, Linda Kinnear earned a 10th-place finish in the shot put (17-09.5) and a 9th-place finish in the discus (34-09).
